Slow Down Science: Ocean

Slow Down Science: Ocean is a 4 week unit. Every week has two parts that are open and go followed by an experiment or activity day. The first part of the week includes: a reading out of Slow Down: 50 Mindful Moments in Nature by Rachel Williams; gathering more information from Nature Anatomy by Julia Rothman; drawing tutorial; notebooking; hands-on activity; experiments; and curated videos. This unit could be completed over four weeks or a longer or shorter time period depending on your needs. 

 
The other unit in this series is Birds. Others to come in this series include Botany, The Sky, Creepy Crawlies, and Animals. They will utilize the same two books mentioned above and have the same set up.

This unit was created for elementary age students. Does NOT come with the books. You will need to borrow them from the local library, state inter library loan, or purchase new/second hand. Required books are:
