Slow Down Science: Animals is a 11-week unit for elementary age students with two parts that are open and go followed by an experiment or activity day. Each week has 3 parts including: a reading out of Slow Down: 50 Mindful Moments in Nature by Rachel Williams; gathering more information from Nature Anatomy by Julia Rothman; drawing tutorial; notebooking; hands-on activity; experiments; and curated videos. This unit could be completed over eleven weeks or a longer or shorter time period depending on your needs.
Other units in this series are The Ocean (free), Birds, Creepy Crawlies, Botany, and The Sky. All these units can be purchased together in our Slow Down Science Bundle. Each unit utilizes the same two books mentioned above and have the same set up.

This unit was created for elementary age students. Does NOT come with the books. You will need to borrow them from the local library, state inter library loan, or purchase new/second hand.
